Folded-Brocade Hill - Die Cai

The naming of this mountain is more imaginative than most. The rock strata here are broken and more obvious and do resemble a sheet of fabric folded back on itself. The choice of finest Brocade as the fabric is purely poetic, and very Chinese.
Halfway up the mountain you will find the Wind Cave. This spot attracts a good breeze throughout the year and makes for a cool haunt for summer afternoons. The cave is covered in Buddhist carvings from the Tang and Song Dynasties.
Look out for the Cloud-catching Pavilion on the summit of Bright Moon Peak. This spot has some great views of the city and beyond.
