Fubo Hill is situated to the north of town. Just follow the embankment past Jiefang Bridge.
Fubo Hill is generally recognized as the best viewpoint for the other, more picturesque, hills around the city. You overlook the lovely Li River and can look across to Seven Star Park, Camel Hill, Yueya Hill, Pierced Hill, Pagoda Hill and down to the tops of Elephant Trunk Hill and Nanxi Hill. In the other direction you will see Old Man Hill, Solitary Beauty Peak and Folded-Brocade Hill as well as the more distant peaks.
You can look out for the Pearl-returning Cave at Fubo Hill. This is only a minor bonus for those who do not go to any of the larger caves such as the Reed Flute Cave.
It is well worth getting up in the morning or evening if you intend to take photographs. The air is often clearer and the light should be less harsh. Photographers will probably know this already, and will also recognize that the walk along the embankment offers many other great opportunities at these times.
