The itinerary of this one day tour is totally under your control. We offer some suggestions here (follow the links on the left hand side) but will only work towards a final plan for you once you have contacted us by email and expressed your interests.
Day 1: A tour of Guilin City
The itinerary is flexible. The cost shown is only for the guide and travel within the city. You pay lunch and entrances on top - but then only for the meal you choose and the Guilin sites that you actually visit. Your guide will let you know if a Through-ticket is advisable. Street Life
Behind the tourist facade, Guilin is a regular Chinese city. If you want to see more of this aspect then ask us to include visits to some local markets or other areas where the locals gather for traditional activities. The West Market is easily included and offers lots of colour and local interest.
Guilin also has other specilaized markets. Let us know what you want to see and we'll let you know if it's possible.
Eating Out
Eating out should be a joy. Guilin has no shortage of good eating options to provide you with much more than just fuel. Let us know your preferences and we can tailor any meals to suit you.
We highly recommend a brunch of Guilin Rice Noodles for an authentic and satisfying experience.
Supermarket Eye-opener
Chinese supermarkets look remarkably standard from the outside. A vist to one soon puts this impression to rights. The products on offer are very different from those available in the west, though there is often a section for imported foods where you may be able to satisfy a craving. All-in-all, a visit to a Chinese Supermarket can be a great way to get a feel for local life.
Mid-range Through Ticket
This 120 Yuan ticket includes Elephant Trunk Hill, Folded Brocade Hill, Reed Flute Cave and Seven Star Park. These sites can form the core of your day without feeling rushed and still leave enough time to add some of the suggestions above.
You do not have to visit the sites in any particular order but the order given does work well, leaving you in the park scenic area in the afternoon when there are more activities to see.
