Seven Star Park

Seven Star Park gets its name from the arrangement of mountains within its boundaries. The seven are said to be in the same pattern as the constellation we know as the Plough (or Great Bear) when viewed from above.

Seven Star Park is located at the east end of Jiefang Bridge and is therefore within walking distance from the centre of town, though you would be well-advised to take a taxi if you are trying to see many Guilin attractions within the same day.

Inside the park you will find fantastic karst formations and ornamental gardens. It is a cool place to wander around on a hot summer's afternoon. You don't need take anything special - just your regular weather protection, a camera and, of course, some money.

Seven Star Park used to have a poor reputation after dark. We have not heard of any incidents recently but you would be well advised to make your visit during the day time anyway. This is when the sights of interest for visitors are open and best appreciated.
